Welcome to Rebel Corps 👋🏽, where we are crowdsourcing the resistance! This tool allows anyone with passion, empathy, courage and determination to share the actions big and small they are taking to protect our democracy so we can learn from one another and get new ideas. Together we can demonstrate the power of collective action. To join the rebellion:
That’s it! Happy rebelling!

Today’s Action (April 24)
.gif)
Habitat destruction is one of the biggest drivers of biodiversity loss and species extinction across the world, including in the United States. And yet the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service are trying to claim that habitat destruction doesn’t qualify as “harm” because endangered species are not intentionally targeted by the action. They’ve submitted a proposed rule that would make this change official policy—one that will threaten our already struggling wildlife.
We have until May 19 to submit our comments opposing this rule. Not sure what to say? Try something like:
“I am greatly concerned about this proposed rule change that would exponentially increase the threats to our already imperiled wildlife. We know that habitat destruction is among the main drivers of biodiversity loss and extinction. Every species that we lose plays a critical role in its ecosystem—ecosystems that we all rely on for clean air, clean water, livelihoods, recreation, and carbon storage. These are species and ecosystems that, once lost, will be lost forever. For these reasons, I strongly oppose this rule change.”
